Bruce Springsteen - Dancing In The Dark
Lately, I feel as if I’ve been living in a Bruce Springsteen song. If you switch blue collar jobs for minimum wage jobs for post-graduate white people then I’m feeling exactly the way the person in this song is.
SIDENOTE: A great name for a christmas tree would be Spruce Springsteen.

On the way back to Wilmington, I had to go by the salvage yard in Clayton to get all of my stuff out of the totaled car. The salvage yard is something totally out of a Mad Max movie.
It is the size a pro-football stadium and everyone gets around in either a giant forklift (I saw one shuttling around a Chevy Silverado as if it was a toy car) or another wrecked, but drivable car. I was taken to my car in a Jeep Cherokee with no back end. There are rows and rows of destroyed cars ranging from Porsches to Kias. It was definitely insane.
On another interesting note, the guy who drove me to my car complained that Haitians are always trying to buy wrecked cars for parts and stuff but are constantly trying to screw the vehicles’ owners over. He was not a fan. Both sides of this whole thing seem like a crazy way to make a living. Either patrolling or scavenging off a giant auto graveyard.
It should also be noted that the next town over, Smithfield, is the home of the largest slaughterhouse in the US. North Carolina is certainly a very diverse state.

Vamping It Up
This is very good news for a pale person such as myself. Due to the success of Twilight, the sales of pale foundation have gone up 200%. While I do not wear makeup, I am, in pretty much every way, quite white. I’ve been against this whole Twilight thing for so long, maybe there is a silver lining.
